Sima Nazarpour is an associate professor in the department of midwifery at Islamic Azad University, Varamin-Pishva Branch, Tehran, Iran, as well as a researcher at the Reproductive Endocrinology Research Center, Research Institute for Endocrine Sciences, Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences. She earned her PhD in reproductive health from Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences in Tehran, and she also completed postdoctoral work at the same research institute in the field of endocrine sciences. Her research primarily focuses on endocrine disorders in pregnancy, thyroid function in gestation, and pregnancy outcomes in relation to hormonal imbalances. She has authored more than 70 publications in peer-reviewed journals, contributing significantly to the fields of midwifery, reproductive endocrinology, and maternal health. She is known for studies such as the “Tehran Thyroid and Pregnancy Study,” exploring the impact of thyroid disorders on neonatal neurodevelopment. Her work bridges clinical midwifery and endocrine research, with the goal of improving maternal and child health outcomes through better understanding of hormonal regulation during pregnancy.
